Top 10 reasons to buy a PSVITA PPSV Edition 2015

  • Its still the best handheld gaming device right now
PSVita was release 2011 and the specs might be a little outdated it is still the most powerful and capable handheld gaming device right now. Even the rise of smartphone gaming and 3ds eating up the sales for games, There's no denying that PSVIta is still the beast because it can do both graphics and serious gaming due to its built in dual analog.

  • A lot of Games are still to be released for the Vita
Vita is dead for Sony yes. There are no more projects from Sony. It's just that Sony isn't doing good enough for the system. It's okay for them to drop development if they'll just produce mediocre games. A lot of games coming this 2016 since vita has a really strong 3rd party support. 3ds might have advantage for first party games but vita is getting the love of 3rd party support specially in Japan.

  • Your Vita can play lots of games
Vita has a huge library of games. It’s a home of JRPG's visual novels and lots of anime action games. Hell it has a lot of fighting games which all handhelds lack. You can even play PSONE, Neo Geo, and PSP games on it.

  • It can do PS4 remoteplay
If you own a PS4 but can't play due to the TV is currently loaded by Eat Bulaga fans from your family, You can play PS4 games remotely via PS Vita. You can play it with all your heart even when your not facing the tv.

  • Playstation Plus
If you’re a playstation plus subscriber, you get free games each month. Majority of titles are decent and if you own a PS3 and PS4 it's a big plus since sometimes different games are given free for each platform. Plus you get hell of big discounts for great games for up to 70% off the original price. Talk about savings!

  • Its not That expensive
The SLIM device starts at 7,000++ . Probably the OLED one is cheaper if you can hunt around might get it for 5k for bnew.

  • A lot of RPG games available for the System
Yeah I already mentioned that it has lots of games on item number 3. But I can't help myself by mentioning this that Vita is teh KING of JRPG's there are tons of JRPG's of the System and man this is SERIOUS-CONSOLE style RPG's not kiddie RPGS. If you love the Genre you'll get a vast library of JRPGs from PSONE to the VIta

  • Vita Hardware
New colors are released and a lot of Vita to choose from depending on your liking. lol

  • Portability
Play your games outside or anywhere. Adhoc at Starbucks anyone?

  • It has the Playstation Brand
We'll your not just cool if you have one but the builit quality of the Device and Sony support is hands down. Your getting a premiuim device for a decent price.

JStars Victory + PSVITA Review

Loved how Anime rumbles during fighting scenes? It's intense and way better than drama and like everyone was hooked on what's going to happen next. I'm a big fan of how japanese peeps do story telling. It's always out of this world and unique. Like J Stars Victory +. It's not your typical fighting game but it lets you create the ultimate battles that only your imaginations can do. Luffy vs Goku anyone?

JStars Victory + is a fighting game from Bandai Namco. The game roster consists of Anime from Jump magazine and The moment it was released a year ago I was shocked when it even had Yusuke from Ghost fighter which was one of my fave Animes way back. The character roster for this game is Huge and for me they had included the best of the best. Naruto, LuffieSeiyaHiei from Ghost Fighter, Ichigo from bleach, etc. The story starts of with a God calling the Anime heroes to fight in a tournament. The winner gets their wish granted. meh pretty basic story for this game but if you're a big fan of the animes, man you'll be happy seeing them tagged and fighting side by side.

oh shit.....

Gameplay reminds me of Dissidia Final Fantasy on the PSP. You control the Character on 3rd person using the left stick and the camera for the right stick. Action buttons can be used for normal, mid,  special attacks, and for jumping. The left trigger is used for running while the right is used for special attacks. This is a really familiar layout and you'll get a hang of it in no time. Really, the game is really simple but it gets intense overtime. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the combat and how intense the arena becomes when I just pushed a few buttons. There are ways to power up your characters like using items and mixing cards. Also using certain character types affects your Victory buff. For example, Triumph gives you an attack boost when certain conditions are met during battle. This is a feel good game and I think fighting game pro's will bore in no time. Me, I Just want to see them battle or tag along with each other as these are my chilidhood Animes. And for that I really enjoyed watching them beat the hell out of each other.

I hope there would be Marvel Vs Jump in the future..

Graphics is ok for me. Some says it's way Ps2ish and basic, but for me it's not. It is crisp and the characters really do look like their 2d Anime models. Goku really looks like Goku and so on.
Sound is really really good. :) Man I love games with great soundtrack. From battles, to the overworld to the cutscences. Everything is just damn good.

One of the great things present in game is the world map. It reminds me of how RPG's used to have really cool world maps. You'll be using a ship to journey throughout the game and is upgraded constantly and eventually lead you to the  final battle. Bad thing though that you can't rotate the camera which makes somethings like enemy ships coming out of nowhere and makes evading them a bit difficult.

Overall, I enjoyed this game and would give it an 8.5/10 the Ultimate Throwback for Otakus. For FIghting game pro's, meh I know you wouldn't agree but being able to create your own Anime battle of your dreams is a big Otaku thumbs up. If you love Anime's this one is for you.

 The Ultimate Throwback

The Good

  • Great soundtrack
  • Crisp graphics
  • World Map Navigation
  • Simple, Intense and addicting gameplay
  • Great cast of Characters

The Bad

  • Stiffy camera. Can't control camera on world map
  • Battles can become repetitive

8.5/10

Resident Evil Revelations 2 PSVITA Review

First of all, I've played Resident Evil Revelations for the 3ds both for the normal 3ds and the 3ds XL and yes I've enjoyed both. (Main difference is that is good on the XL) I finished Revalations for 3ds in 1 sitting. That's how excited I am for every episode. Took me a week to finish Revelations 2. It's just that, I'm not as hooked as I was with the first 1. Or let's just say it's the worst vita port of any game out there. It was garbage compared to the 3ds version. Yeah yeah Part 1 was made for 3ds before but somehow the guys from FRIMA (The developer studio that developed the vita port) did not bring justice to this port and hell just released a port just so our beloved vita will have a Resident Evil.

R3 version was delayed for almost a month I guess and I was so excited when I got my physical Copy. I noticed first thing when I got to the game, the frame rate does drop a lot. Then I played the first chapter while downloading the big update game just so I can check the frame rate if it improved or not. First run without updates, I got dizzy ... really dizzy... I've played lots of vita ports before but the frame rate for this one will make you puke. After the update it does improve a little but still you'll get dizzy playing this one. I finished uncharted golden abyss before playing this one and sure  this will make me rant a lot for this review. That game though does not run on 60fps is still miles away from the frame rate of Resident Evil Revelations 2. The game visual is garbage. The visuals was toned down to the level of PS2 even lower than ps2.

"MR Zombie you look 2D"

Next is the sound. When Capcom first said they're not going to port Resident Evil Revelations 1 to vita because of sound quality issues of vita not having dolby digital, believe the reason guys for Revelations 2 having no dolby digital sounds the developers have compressed the music to levels of tunog lata mp3's. Shotguns sounds like laser cannons???? Really crappy sound quality.

Loading times are both hell for Campaign and Raid mode. Its the worst loading time for any vita game. Timed it for 2 mins per game on online raid mode. 2 mins of loading  time????  Then you play raid mode in less than 5 mins????? Oh boy..  1 min loading time for camapaign.

The Story, well if you've played Revelations 1. The formula that makes that game exciting us still there but if you've played the first one it feels like that they'd just copied the whole concept. It makes the story predictable. The plot is the worst for any Resident Evil. The new Characters Moira and Natalia out of the two I would like Moira to be kicked out entirely off the series. She just cursed and cursed the whole game. Saying the F word almost everytime is annoying.

Treasure opening mini game is annoying and will test your patience. You'll be opening a lot of this boxes.

No major spoiler here. But on the ending credits. I was surprised that Sony Computer Entertainment America was the first text that slide upward on the credits roll. Like... wtf???? You guys should be on the bottom for releasing this crappy port. No thanks to you guys!!!! Credits should go to the Japanese dev team that created the game.

"Die bitch!!!!!"
Let's go to the positives. The game is still scary for me. Revelations series is one the scariest for any Resident Evil. Its scary yea.. :( good thing the game lets you control 2 characters. I'll not be playing this if I only have one. Lol it's damn scary. The idea of having you to control 2 characters is cool and makes gameplay unique. What you do on the first chapter will have effect on the surroundings of the character for next chapter. Meaning there are different approach to cover so you'll be repeating the game  a lot if you want to uncover everything. There are lots of things to unlock and there is raid mode. Skill settings also add up to the life span of the game as it not just aid you character but also there are tons of skills to unlock and upgrade. You can also upgrade weapon and lots of stuff laying around for you to find and upgrade your weapons with. Lastly there's raid mode with online and adhoc modes. If you can withstand the loading times then you'll probably enjoy raid mode.

The Cut scenes  are all HD though. Crisp and scaled for vita. thumbs up for that.

My verdict. Don't buy this Resident Evil Revelations 2 port. Spend that money elsewhere unless you're a diehard fan and can't afford the console version. There are a lot of cons that will make you curse this game like what Moira does throughout the game. Stay away.

The Bad
  • Ending credits 1st line: credits to sony computer entertainment wtf????
  • The frame rate worst for any vita game
  • Loading times as hell as the setting
  • Predictable story
  • Moira curses like a lot please kick this girl out of resident evil series.
  • Silly treasure box opening mini game will test your patience.
  • Ugly Visuals
  • Sound is mono. Like tunog lata mp3's
The Good

  • Still is scary
  • I still enjoyed the game having able to switch character is a sweet
  • High Replay value if you can withstand the frame rate issue

6.5/10
