Sentiments: Warranty or WALA-nty

We usually see this note from Gadget shops at malls "6 months service warranty" or even "1 year service warranty" or even juicier "lifetime service warranty" but does it really give us assurance that our babies(gadgets) are safe having those warranty given to us by our trusted mall sellers? Yes and most probably a NO.

This applies to all gadgets I think, when I drop my PSvita which has a service warranty from my favorite store will they fix it? Ofcourse they will! But! Full efforts only, you still have to buy the parts! Worst you pay almost half the price of the device for the parts! So those service warranties when applied to gadgets are damn useless!!!

This service warranties are more in favor for appliances, laptops or pc's but for new gadgets (tablet, vita, 3ds, smartphones etc) dont be happy you have this so called warranty! For it always assures you that you'll pay bigtime if suddenly you did something wrong with your device.

Thinking of buying a 2nd hand PSVita or 3ds and will charge you much higher than other 2nd hands because it has service warranty? No way! There are no service centers for these handhelds! Best efforts will be done to your devices and you will still be shouldering the parts that will be used to repair your vita or 3ds!

Warranty or Wala-nty? :)

Looks like were going to see more Vita game's localized next year. Accoding to gematsu , Sorcery SagaDangan Ronpa Trigger Happy, and Demon Gaze.

More vita love for us! wee!

Sorcery Saga and Demon Gaze looks like our typical dungeon crawler RPG while DanganRonpa is a visual novel type of game.

Seems there are lots of games being announced for vita games lately we hope they'd announced TYPE 0 or Tales of Hearts localization too..

Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland Review

Yeah I know, The game has been out since march for PSN R1. The review might be a little late sorry but it just arrive on PSN R3 last week bummer. its been a while since I played an RPG like this. Its not just a solid RPG but it also an RPG with complete package. Superb graphics, Great voice acting, Menu presentation, great game mechanics, interesting characters etc. There's so much to love in this game. Despite the game having a female protagonist, which is a bit off for some specially the way totori runs, the game is still a must play for every hardcore RPG fans out there.

There's not much to say about the game's graphics coz all I could say is its "Awesome" period. No other RPG handheld game can surpass its beauty for me. Not even 3ds RPG's can topple Atelier Totori's graphics.

First time ever have I played an RPG that lets you customized its Battle music and background music. You get the option to pick the battle theme from ALL Atelier series which is about a whooping 100+ music to choose from. If you get tired of the same music you can change it and hell it rocks if all RPG's have this option right? Why the hell dint they released a Limited Edition with Soundtrack for this game!? I want it so bad. The in game music rocks!

Battle system for Atelier Totori is your typical turn based battle. First time I watched the battle, meh boring, but when I actually played it, I never get tired of battling tons of Puni's (poring like monsters) its a really great battle experience. Totori doesn't have skills though, you have to synthesize items which she could use for battles which I will tackle next.

The main goal of the game is for you to become a high rank adventurer. If you've played Persona or Harvest Moon games. Its pretty much the same. There's no time to slack off(or maybe there is if you choose to be a slacker) because you have to plan every move(yes every move). When you gather materials, the time moves and so is your energy, when you move to a map the time moves and so is your energy, when you battle monster the time moves and so is your energy. You get the drill bro? haha

There's a tons of items and materials to synthesize, understanding it at first is really a pain in the ass. You'll need to gather materials and buy books early to understand what's what is for. Good thing the game has its own bestiary and reference. Once you get a particular item and you've forgotten where to get that item? just check the library section in the in game menu.

The thing about RPG's on 3ds devices in spite they have like tons of RPG's for the handheld is they scale it all down to the lowest resolution, cut all the cut scenes, remove a lot of voice acting, remove some parts and the list goes on and on. Yeah yeah I know that we shouldn't judge the game for its graphics and all but there are people like me who wants a complete package and Atelier Totori(and also Persona 4 Golden)gives us all just that.

Overall this game gets a 9/10 from me.

The Good:

-Superb graphics
-bite size quests
-Great voice acting
-Great presentation
-A rich Library reference for everything
-Great Soundtrack
-Great game mechanics

The Bad

-Moving from one place to another consumes ridiculous IN GAME time.
-Female protagonist might be off for the macho men.
-Priced too much for a DIGITAL release

The not so Bad

-Some frame drops but not ruins user experience.

-Digital only via PSN
$39.99
HK$312.00

about 1700 pesos.

PSVITA: Muramasa Rebirth: Review

Muramasa Rebirth: Review

For those skeptical about buying the game. Binabawi ko na feeling $19.99 game lang sya. After playing through the first part of the game, Its actually good and feels built with quality unlike naruto games before for GBA and DS. I havent finished Momohime scenario yet @ 6 hours and I still have 2 boss' to go. So expect a decent 14 hours for both scenarios plus getting the diff endings. Youll also be able to unlock a different difficulty level when you finish the game which adds more hours and challenges for some. For gameplay all I could say is its good and responsive. Malambot sya /gg. Momohime slashes gracefully and slashing enemies is never been this addicting. I enjoy slashing ninjas over and over mwahaha. You can forge tons of swords and bring 3 with you every time. Since swords have different abilities you'll need the proper sword for boss battles to go on smoothly.

Its not your typical Castlevania or Metroid game. There are no puzzles, just straight forward events and inaccessible paths in which you'll need a particular sword to reach the next destination. Sadly, There's no "Dash/tumbling moves" to move from area to area. You'll be pushing that forward button(or jump which is slower for me) to run and to move to your next "recycled destination" and fight the same ninjas over and over. I don't care though. Its fun slashing ninjas and orc's.

Overall its great! The art, the game play and story are solid foundations for this game to win my 8/10 rating. Slash away!

The Good:

-Great Graphics
-Addicting Gameplay
-Unique mechanics
-Different Endings
-2 scenarios play as kisuke and momohime
-Tons of swords with diff abilities

The Bad:

-Repetitive Areas
-Repetitive Monsters
-Areas feels small

The not so bad:

-No english Dub
-NO DASH for faster movement
-Evading is a chore
-Practice moves during combats only
-NO blood

Overall: its still 8/10!
